Liver Disease Age 18+

NOCCR Knoxville is currently seeking adults age 18 or older who have been diagnosed with mild, moderate, or severe liver disease for a clinical research study testing an investigational medication.

This is a Phase I, single dose study looking at the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of GS-9674 in subjects with impaired hepatic function (liver disease) in comparison to matched, healthy controls with normal hepatic function.

The medication being evaluated in this study is in development for the treatment of NAFLD, or nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and NASH, or nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. During this study, qualified volunteers will receive a single dose of the study medication (given orally in tablet form). Volunteers must be willing to remain in the study center for 7 days and 6 nights, and complete 1 follow up return visit to the clinic. The expected duration of the study, not including the screening period, is approximately 15 days.

Compensation up to $1825 is available for time and travel.
